Over the last few years, I've passionately shared the stories of women like Lilith, Medusa and Brigid who’ve been buried, burned and forgotten over time – they’ve formed the basis of my ‘Rekindling Her Stories’ sessions.
I’ve delved into women being painted as villains because they dared to challenge men – monsters whose power was deemed so terrifying that they couldn't possibly be anything but ferocious fiends.
I’ve cast a Divine Feminist lens over the stories, revealing their true meaning and reminding us of who the real heroes were within those tales.
Behind the scenes, I've done the same with my own story, and I've realised something…
The stories of women like Lilith, Medusa and Brigid have a lot in common with mine.
What's more, they have a lot in common with many of my clients too. From the challenges and criticisms we’ve faced and the gifts we’ve kept hidden to the pains and shames we’ve allowed to keep us small.
HerStories are Our Stories
Something else they share is a radiant power and wisdom at their centre, just waiting to be unleashed.
So often, my coaching and therapy work involves asking people to rekindle the light and power in their own stories.
Right now, that’s something I want to share more broadly.
And so, I’ve launched ‘Rekindling Your Story’ – a 10-week journey of self-discovery like no other, taking place from Spring Equinox in March 2024 until May of the same year.
Rekindling the fire and power that lives within your story is more than analysing what's been before and revisiting the past with a new lens.
It involves asking yourself about the times you've been buried, burned, persecuted, forgotten and villainized, and then turning that on its head, and looking at yourself as the heroine instead.
